Front Wrap Cross Carry
Instructions for the FWCC (Front Wrap Cross Carry)
This is one of my favorite front carries. It’s very supportive and comfortable, ideal for carrying for long periods of time. The inner cumberbund prevents baby from leaning backwards, making for a very secure carry.
In these instructions, baby is 6 months and the wrap is a Didymos Blue/White Indio 4.7m.

First, assemble your tools.
Next, find the center of your wrap.
Wrap one side of the wrap around your back.
Pull wrap up over your shoulder.

Bring wrap over your shoulder to the front.
Bring the other side of the wrap around your back in the same way.
Bring wrap over your shoulder to the front.
Next, slide your baby down into the pocket.
Spread pocket from baby’s knees up to baby’s armpits (or up onto baby’s shoulders, if you prefer).
Get baby into a good sitting position (knees higher than bum), with the wrap being a nice pocket under baby.
Now, grab one of the wrap ends laying over your shoulders.
Tighten the strap from rail to rail so that the pouch around baby tightens securely.
Tuck strap around baby, spreading from knee to knee, tightening all along.
Tuck strap under baby’s opposite leg.
Now grab the other strap over your other shoulder and tighten rail to rail.
Tuck strap around baby, spreading from knee to knee, tightening all along; tuck strap under baby’s opposite leg.
Grab both straps, take them around your back, and tie.
