Really, most of the carries can be used with any age baby. It's mostly about your wrapping confidence, as well as being aware of baby's needs at each age. Newborns are very floppy, so you have to watch their positioning closely to make sure they have a healthy position and that nothing interferes with their breathing. Bigger babies and toddlers are less complicated; they may even help you get them wrapped. Hip carries are typically only appropriate after baby can hold himself up, but most of the front and back carries are fine at any age, as long as you are aware of the baby's needs.
