Jordan’s Back Carry Video

Video Instructions for JBC (Jordan’s Back Carry)

JBC is my favorite back carry. I invented it because none of the other back carries gave me all of the features I needed. I wanted to have baby high up on my back, but lots of support from multiple layers of fabric. I worked with adjusting several different back carries, eventually combining different features, and the JBC was born!

In these instructions, baby is 11 months and the wrap is a Didymos Silver Waves 5.2m.

LOVE this carry by the way, but I was wondering why you don’t tuck the second shoulder fabric under their leg… why leave it over? Just curious.

    Thanks for sharing!

Glad you like it. :) I have the first pass across baby’s back go over her leg, then the second pass goes under her leg, then the last pass goes over her legs. I did it this way just because that’s how it felt most secure. But since inventing it, I’ve tried it different ways (all passes going over baby’s legs, the first two passes both under baby’s legs, etc.) and almost all of them have worked fine. I have found, though, that the final pass needs to go over both legs, otherwise it tends to slip down.

    It looks really comfy!

Can I use that also for a newborn? And then tuck in his arms of course..
