If you are looking for what carries you can do with a certain length wrap, this is the page!
I have them catagorized as Short, Medium, Medium-Long, Long, and Extra Long, because the actual wrap length varies depending on the size of the mama. To give you an idea, for me, Short is 2.5m, Medium is 3.7m, Medium-Long is 4.2m, Long is 4.7m, and Extra Long is 5.2m.

Just wondering your size (height and body shape- if you feel comfortable sharing that information)as it is difficult to get an idea of wrap length that I will need based on the lengths you gave for yourself. I was thinking of getting a 3.6 or 4.1 storchenwiege but not sure which will be most versatile I’m only 5ft3 and a size 0-1…. but I have a fairly big baby.
Well, I’m 5’8″ and when I wrote those lengths, I was a size 18. I’ve since lost quite a bit of weight (and now put some back on because I’m pregnant
), so when this baby is born, it’ll be interesting to see which sizes work best for me….. Wrap sizes are very difficult to give advice on, because so many factors impact it. Your height and weight make a big difference, but so does your experience with wrapping. A new wrapper will tend to need a lot more length than a seasoned wrapper, because they aren’t as proficient at tightening and getting everything in just the right position. Your baby size impacts it as well, although not as much as the other factors. And, honestly, just your preference can make a difference. I prefer extra length to trying to squeeze a carry out of a wrap that doesn’t quite make it. I can always just wrap the extra length around my waist an extra time….. Usually, for a new wrapper, I would recommend a 4.2m or a 4.7m depending on your body size. That way, you definitely have enough length to do the majority of the carries no matter what size your baby is, while not being overwhelmed by way too much fabric. So, for you, I would tend to suggest a 4.1m, although, as you become a more experienced wrapper, you might find you prefer a 3.6m. Hope this helps!
Hi Jordan, Loved your page, thank you for sharing!! What’s the width of your wraps? or wich one do you recomend? Thanks!
