Kangaroo Carry
Instructions for the Kangaroo Carry
Kangaroo Carry is an ideal front carry when you are using a medium length wrap. Most front carries (FWCC, FCC, and PWCC) require a long wrap (4.6m), whereas Kangaroo Carry can be done with a 3.7m wrap. It also only has one layer of fabric over baby, and so can be cooler in the heat of the summer.

In these instructions, baby is 6 months, and the wrap is a Didymos Red Waves 3.7m.
First, assemble your tools.
Find the center of your wrap.
Put the wrap ends over your shoulders, leaving a loop in the front.
Slide baby done into the loop.
Make the loop into a nice seat for baby, making sure to spread the fabric from knee to knee.
Next, behind your back, grab one of the straps, and tighten it, paying special attention to tighten the top rail.
Bring that strap around to the front.
Reach behind you and tighten the other strap.
Bring strap around to the front and tie a knot under baby’s bum.
All done!
